Duniya mein kitna gum hai, mere gum kitna kum hai.
Logo ka gum dekha toh, mein apna gum bhool gaya
(Translated: There is so much sadness and pain in this world,
In comparison my pain is so meagre,
For when I see the others in deeper pain
I forget my own)
This is a beautiful song no doubt, but somehow I can never get myself to agree with it.
”I cried for a pair of shoes, till I saw a man without feet”
Another thing I completely disagree with.
Upon a similar topic argued me and my brother. His say “it’s best to ignore the pain than pay attention to it”. I believe and do so otherwise.
I ask you… if someone has cut his hand and you have cut your finger, would you simply not cry in pain just because “in comparison to the person’s cut hand, your finger’s cut is measly”? Naa… never!
Similarly, of you are in pain, whatever the nature be or however small, firstly acknowledge it. Then work on it. The solution follows. And remember, no pain is small pain.
And if someone cribs… oh you are making such a big issue of a small thing, then tell them, it your way of dealing with things.
I once wrote: PAIN = Perfect Accompaniment In Need.
I modify it now: PAIN = Perfect Accompaniment In Need, but better only for a while :=)
